Availability and Ordering

The pedals described on this site, as well as others that I make or alter, are created one at a time by me alone. No two are alike. It is not always a fast process, considering my being a full-time educational-products editor. That is not likely to change; taking my time on the painting and wiring is what makes this fun in the first place.

If you would like one of these items, please let me know! Use the "contact me" link in the menu to send a message, and I will be glad to get back to you with the current price and availability of whatever you are interested in. Sometimes I have one in stock or almost finished; sometimes it takes several weeks to turn out another pedal. Either way, I will keep you updated. The world is an unpredictable place.

Currently available

When I have pedals for sale that have not already been claimed, I will list them here.

Currently available: nothing at the moment. What would you like?

The most common over time has been the Flangioplasty stereo flanger: Built with a vintage 1980s DOD FX75B circuit board and otherwise all-new parts, the Flangioplasty has four extra-depth switches that create oscillating tones in different ranges, from shrill sirens to rumbling motors, as the analog-delay chip is forced into doing more than it was meant to do. There’s a switch for a modulated echo, for creepy reverb tones; and another switch to stop the oscillation entirely for a filter-like effect or single nonwavering feedback tones when combined with the other switches. Stereo outs. No battery connection inside; use a Boss-type AC adapter or pedal-powering device.

Previously-sold pedals of other types:

Noun Phase stereo phase shifter: Featuring Aqua Penguin and the Golden Hexagon. Built with a vintage 1980s DOD FX20B circuit board and otherwise all-new parts, the Noun Phase has three toggle switches that each change the vocal-like sound of the phasing; turning the Depth and Regen knobs dramatically alters what sounds those switches make. Ordinary phaser sounds are also possible with the Regen knob and three switches all down. Inside, the maximum-available speed has been increased. Stereo outs. No battery connection inside; use a Boss-type AC adapter or pedal-powering device.

Scioto Vibrato analog pitch vibrato with boost: Featuring pink goose with Easy Bake Oven. Built with a vintage 1980s DOD FX65 circuit board and otherwise all-new parts, the Scioto Vibrato starts with a pitch vibrato effect with a wide range of depth (controlled by the Blend knob and the three-way depth toggle switch). This allows everything from lovely subtle modulation to badly-warped-record pitch bending. The “Fear” switch makes the effect dramatic and choppy; on deeper Depth settings it starts to sound robotic and atonal. It uses a vintage BBD chip, so on the deeper Depth settings, there’s background static. (We’re asking that chip to do more than it was ever meant to do here!) To overcome volume drop, I have also inserted a hand-wired BS170 boost circuit, so there is a lot of available volume boost with this pedal. Mono output, true bypass. No battery connection inside; use a Boss-type AC adapter or pedal-powering device.
