I am going to give away a one-off pedal, the MOSS-FET Clean Boost.
Why am I giving it away? For several reasons:
I created it partially as a joke. Its simple circuit is based on a MOSFET transistor, so the pun wrote itself as soon as I saw fake moss at the craft store one afternoon.
The circuit inside is not original—the electronics were not in any way designed by me, though I did wire this pedal myself, by hand on perfboard. Therefore, it would be unethical to sell it or profit from it. It is a popular transparent boost that adds tons of volume while maintaining your instrument’s tone.
I made another one for my own use (without moss), so there’s no reason for me to keep it. It’s more fun to make someone else happy with it.
This is a silly pedal. I make no promises as to how long the fake moss lasts under heavy usage, but the underlying pedal itself is solid and simple!

On Monday, February 25, the last three digits to the left of the decimal point of the day’s Dow Jones Industrial Average closing number will be the winning number. Whatever person whose entry is closest to that number will win. (Today’s closing number was 25,891.32, so 891 would be the winning number if it were today.)
We have a winner! The Dow Jones closed today at 26,091.95, making Robert Abernathy’s entry of 138 (nice Misfits reference!) the closest to 091. Hooray!
